Success Quote
“With success comes a lot of failure, and it doesn’t matter how many times you fall it just depends on how you get up and keep succeeding.” – Victor Ortiz
Key Points
1. You Need to Have a Burning Vision
Success is not easy.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of garbage.
And if you want to achieve success in your life, relationships, business, career, or health, then you must have a burning vision that outweighs the pain of achievement.
If you lack vision and purpose, then the first roadblock of obstacle will cause you to doubt yourself and quit.
But if you have a burning vision and a strong “why” behind that vision, even the most enormous obstacles will not set you back.
You will be able to jump over hurdles and power through the pain and struggle of success like you cannot imagine.
Nothing will stop you, no pain will hold you back, and no hater will cause you to doubt yourself.
When you develop this burning vision, everything else fades away.
2. Use Setbacks as a Chance to Recalibrate
Whenever you fail or experience setbacks in your life, don’t wallow in pity and complain about how your life is over.
Instead use them as an opportunity to recalibrate, renew, and re-engage.
If one of your businesses fail, use it as an opportunity to recalibrate.
Examine what went wrong, figure out what lessons you need to learn to make the next startup successful, and use the downtime to recharge your batteries for the upcoming hustle.
Setbacks are opportunities in disguise.
Use them to your advantage and the floodgates of success will open.
3. Stop Caring About What Other People Think
If someone says that you can’t do something, that you aren’t good enough, aren’t smart enough, or aren’t talented enough… Screw ’em.
Who cares what other people think?
They aren’t you.
They don’t have the internal drive and motivation that you have and are taking out their own insecurities on you because they don’t want to be called to live at a higher level.
Stop caring about what other people think!
Other people don’t matter.
The only thing that matters is your vision and what you are willing to endure to make it a reality.
4. If You Want to be a Champion You Will Fall
Guess what?
If you want to be the best at something if you want to be world class if you want to succeed at the highest levels… You are going to fail.
I do not mean that you will ultimately fail to reach your goal, but rather that you will experience failure and setbacks along the journey.
No matter what your goal is.
If you want to be a champion of business, you will lose clients, deals will fall through, and you will probably miss payroll at some point.
If you want to be a champion in your health, you are going to get injured, you are going to get sick, and you are going to screw something up.
If you want to be a champion in your relationships, you are going to piss someone off, you are going to make mistakes, and you are going to be blinded by emotion.
But at the end of the day, what determines your success or failure, and ultimately what determines your character as a man is not if you fail, but whether or not you are willing to pick yourself back up.
Becoming the best isn’t about never failing.
It’s about failing with grace and enthusiasm and picking yourself up one more time, every time.
It’s not over until you say it’s over.
Period.
5. Live in the Moment
It’s so easy to get swept up in the tide of life.
To get carried away by the sea of activities and flurries of commotion that crowd our minds each and every day.
But it is in these times of stress and uncertainty that we must remember to live in the moment.
To enjoy the now because now is all that there is.
The past is the past and we cannot change it.
The future is uncertain and outside of our control.
But right now, in this present moment, you have the control to be fully alive, to embrace your fears, follow your vision, and squeeze the juice out of every second.
And I believe, that this is the greatest success you can achieve.
