Cookies and Tracking Technologies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.  Log files, tags, and tracking technology is useful for gathering data such as browser type and operating system, tracking the number of visitors to our Site and understanding how visitors use the Site and Services.  The Site, our service providers, and permitted advertisers may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels and other tracking technologies depending on the features offered.  Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

Aggregate cookie and tracking data may be shared with third parties.   Also, some content on the Site may be provided by third parties that may use cookies in conjunction with other tracking technologies to collect data about you when you use the Site and Services, which enables them to provide targeted advertising to you. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used.  We may display certain advertising offers on the Site or allow service providers or other third parties to advertise on our Site.  Additionally, we may use third party software to implement electronic marketing campaigns and manage other interactive marketing initiatives.  This third party software may use cookies or similar tracking technology to help manage and optimize your online experience with us.  For more information about interest-based ads, visit www.aboutads.info/choices.  You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Site or Services.

Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have information about your online activities monitored and collected.  No uniform technology for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized.  Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.  If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy policy.

Links to Other Websites

Our Site and Services may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our Site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such other websites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
