The 5 Lessons from my Interview with Pejman Ghadimi
1. Discontent is the Greatest Motivation
If you want to be successful, then get pissed off.
No… really… Get pissed off!
Discontent and frustration with your current circumstances is the greatest way to ensure success.
When you are angry, when you are broke, when you are discontent with your life and your situation, then you are ready to achieve.
You see, in life there are only two things that motivate us, pain and pleasure.
And for most people, the pleasure of success doesn’t outweigh the pain of the early mornings, the late nights, the missed parties, and the hustle.
Pain can motivate you to do things that you had only imagined.
So if you are discontent in your life right now, then good.
Use that as fuel to achieve the success you desire.
2. Learn to Take Massive and Immediate Action
There is one thing that clearly differentiates successful people from the bottom 99%.
Their ability to take immediate and massive action.
People who are successful in any area of life, whether it is fitness, finances, or relationships are masters at taking immediate and massive action.
Want to start a company? Go get an LLC and set up a website.
Want to be in the relationship of your dreams? Go talk to give new women.
Want to be in better shape? Just do some f*cking pushups!
Go take massive immediate action and the rest will follow.
3. Live Your Life the Way You Want to Be Remembered
We are all ultimately dead men.
And the cliche YOLO (you only live once) is true.
But if you do it right, once is all that you need to live a full life.
Each and every day, look yourself in the mirror and remind yourself to live how you want to be remembered.
How do you want your obituary to read? What do you want people to think when your name is mentioned in conversation?
Remember this principle and you will start to make drastically different choices then you do living for the moment.
4. Entrepreneurship is About Innovation Not Business
There is a key difference between an entrepreneur and a business owner.
A business owner might be their own boss, they might set their own hours, and they might have their own clients, but this does not make them an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship is about innovation, not ownership.
An entrepreneur is someone who identifies a need in the market and develops a creative solution to solve that need.
There is no shame in either path, but you need to realize that successful entrepreneurs are the people who change the landscape of the marketplace, not simply people who add another business to the national list.
5. Never Give Up
Simple but profound.
Never give up.
No matter how many times you fail, no matter how many setbacks you encounter, no matter how many times you are told “no”…
Never give up.
Just keep going and at the end of the day, you will eventually succeed.
